Just for fun, I entered a songwriting competition. This was my round 2 submission. The rules for the challenge was that I had to write a musical valentine for someone OTHER than your significant other.
lyrics
D#
I stayed up late
and wrote in hearts
every message the same
you can't tell them apart
Decorated a box
for the party at school
There's a card for everyone
because that's the rules
but there was one..
I spent some time
someone like you
deserves some extra lines
in real small type
you can barely see
it says "thank you for
chipping my teeth, you bastard………………….
preCHORUS: STARTS ON C
and every time you push me down I devise
another way to tape you to a tree outside
So there it is
that's my valentine for you
I only gave you one
because I had to, you bastard
I had the honor of saying that I was in a online collaboration band, With Daniela Andrade. She has perhaps the best voice, I've ever heard, and her 1 Million+ Youtube subscribers seem to agree. David LeDuc
